Christopher Peter Meloni was an American actor who is known for playing in the popular television show Law & Order Special Victims Unit'. From the time he was in college, Christopher Meloni has been interested in the acting world. He went to study acting at University of Colorado at Boulder. While he has appeared in movies and in television shows, it is the actors portrayed in small screen which have earned him acclaim. He is able to play two characters, one from the perspective of the police as well as the other. This is what makes him so popular. He played the character of the serial killer on the first TV show he appeared in and then later played an NYPD detective. The small screen performances of his have been recognized with multiple Emmy Awards nominations and PRISM Awards. He is famous for his blue piercing eyes, which have become an iconic feature and have helped to in portraying tough characters with a sense of humor. People's magazine's Sexiest Men Alive 2006 featured the actor.
